Crowns/ Caps

Your natural crown is the part of your tooth visible above the gum.  A replacement crown covers a tooth when it is weakened or decayed.

Crowns are usually made out of porcelain or metal and strengthen and protect your teeth while enhancing your smile.  They can be used to restore decayed teeth that have been endodontically treated, to treat TMJ problems, to strengthen and restore weakened or decayed teeth, or to enhance the esthetics of your smile.  Crowns can often accomplish more than one of these purposes at once.  The are extremely durable and require the same care as your own natural teeth.
