Enamel
Contouring
When teeth are slightly
uneven or crowded, enamel shaping may be a good way to improve
their appearance. It is usually quick, painless, and does not
require anesthesia.
This treatment can be used
to fix a chipped tooth or to reshape teeth that have become
pointed from grinding.
Although enamel shaping is
a good option for minor cosmetic problems, more major problems
may require orthodontic treatment or other restorative
treatment.
During this procedure, a diamond
bur is used to remove unwanted tooth structure. A finishing bur
is then used to slenderize and contour teeth to achieve the most
natural appearance possible. Teeth are then polished and may be
treated with fluoride.
Enamel Contouring is a
good way to make a dramatic difference by making only subtle
changes. Contact us to find out if this is the right treatment
