Dr. Steven Shapiro has over twenty years of experience in all phases of dentistry including over fifteen years as a dental consultant for two nursing homes.  He is a graduate of Bucknell University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  His Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry achieved by only 6% of dentists represents over 500 hours of continuing education over a ten year period as well as completing a comprehensive examination covering all phases of dentistry.   

Dr. Shapiro is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the Manatee County Dental Society and the Florida Academy of General Dentistry.  Dr. Shapiro maintained a successful general dental practice for twenty years in Pennsylvania and he practiced in Florida for five years before joining Drs. Zamikoff, Klement and Jungman.
