Dr. Douglas Jungman received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with honors (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) in 1981 from the University of Iowa where he completed his undergraduate and graduate training. He maintained a successful dental practice in Iowa for six years before joining Drs. Zamikoff and Klement in 1987.

Dr. Jungman is the founder and past President of the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an organization committed to knowledge relating advanced cosmetic dentistry to other health professionals.  With his commitment to continuing education, he has received his fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry, an honor which has been achieved by only six percent of dentists.  He has served as president of the Manatee Dental Society and as a local board member for over fifteen years. He is also a member of the Florida Dental Association and a delegate for the West Coast Dental Association.  He is also a member of the American Academy of Osseointegration, a dental implant organization.  Dr. Jungman is certified by the Florida Board of Dental Examiners as a specialist IV sedation dentist.
