Oral medication was given to Candy and she was monitored continuously during the procedure with a pulse oximeter (a device that monitors blood pressure and oxygen level). The treatment consisted of
initial deep scaling, buildups and temporary crowns were fabricated for her upper teeth. Candy was given detailed instructions for care and a description of all the procedures that were done.
After this first step in her comprehensive care, Candy was finally able to be proud of her new temporary smile and wear lipstick for the first time in many years so she could showcase the beginnings of her new smile.
